Previous to meeting this doctor I checked out Emory Vision in Atlanta. They told me I had a thinner than normal cornea and slightly dry eyes and suggested the PRK procedure. (I've never had problems with dry eyes before and didn't know I had dry eye until the tests) After all the tests @ LasikPlus they came to the same conclusion and suggested the IntraLasik Procedure. My question is, if anyone out there can answer, at what thickness of the cornea is not safe for lasik? How do they determine whats safe and what isn't? I've researched Lasik Plus previous to setting up an appointment with them and wondered if any of you have had your surgery with them and your opinion of them. The day of my appointment, they were all VERY INFORMATIVE. My nurse expained every test, every machine and what it told them, and even gave me a video to watch, but I'm still a little confuse about the thickness of the cornea. Just from the appointments with the two different doctors, I 'm choosing LasikPlus over Emory because Emory did not inform me of the actual procedure or the tests. They just did what they had to do and pushed me out the door.... I got all my information from the internet, not the doctor at Emory! Thanks so much for all the replies. All the information I receive the better! | ||
